Climbio
Climbio
Create, and routes appear. Share, and routes get found.
What is Climbio
Climbio is a set of free, open-source climbing tools — four cats. The indoor tools give every wall more routes; the outdoor tools help every crag’s routes get found. They are all web apps: nothing to install, and you can add them to your home screen.
Indoor · Climbio
- 1Hold Cat (phone)Take a photo of a climbing wall — a gym bouldering wall, your home spray wall or a Moon Board — and the holds are found for you. Tap holds to set your own route, turn it into a picture or short video for Instagram, Threads or LINE, and friends who open the link get the whole wall. Log sends and flashes, too.
- 2Find Cat (computer)Detect holds across a batch of photos, refine their outlines, and publish a gym’s walls to Find Walls so everyone can find them and set routes on them.
Outdoor · Climbio Crag (in development)
- 3Redpoint Cat (phone)Snap a photo, see the routes: point your phone at a crag and routes shared by other climbers appear on your own photo — and your photo helps the next climber find their way.
- 4Author Cat (computer)Combine photos of a crag, align the routes, and make an open guidebook that can be found with a photo.
Open
The code is open source. Holds, routes, topos and guidebooks use an open format you can export and exchange freely — move to another app or host it yourself. Photos and routes you share publicly are licensed CC BY-SA 4.0, credited to you.
No sign-in needed
Walls, routes and logs live on your phone — no account needed. Google sign-in is only for sharing, syncing across devices, or publishing to your own Google Drive from the computer apps, and it only uses your name and email; Drive access is limited to the files Climbio creates. See the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
